Dr. Rothman is a globally recognized expert, Head of Islamic Psychology at Cambridge Muslim College, and co-founder of the International Association of Islamic Psychology. His work bridges clinical psychology with Islamic tradition to address the unique mental and emotional needs of Muslims today.
Startups & Founders: The Journey
A day dedicated to real stories, bold ventures, and honest conversations. Hosted at Aalto Design Factory, it brought together Muslim professionals and entrepreneurial minds for an inspiring program of keynotes from Fadumo Ali, Sami A., Moyeen Ahmad, and Guleed Ahmed, alongside a meaningful panel discussion and rich conversations.
More than just an event, it offered real insights from founders who have built and scaled businesses, a powerful network of like-minded professionals, a strong program exploring innovation and values-driven leadership, and an uplifting atmosphere with time to recharge and engage. It provided the perfect opportunity to invest in meaningful conversations, build relationships, and strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit within our community.
Your Mind Matters
Your Mind Matters created a safe, open, and stigma-free space to talk honestly about mental health, identity, stress, and burnout. Led by Dr. Hibo and Dr. Ibrahim, both deeply committed to mental well-being and equity in healthcare, the event invited meaningful reflection, vulnerability, and real conversation about how to care for our minds in today’s world.
Filled with warmth, empathy, and connection, it brought together hearts and voices in a powerful space of growth and understanding. A sincere thank you to our amazing speakers whose honesty and compassion made this gathering truly impactful.
Deconstructing AI: Practical Workshop
Deconstructing AI: Practical Workshop was a hands-on introduction to Generative AI, designed to turn curiosity into real capability. Participants explored the essentials, saw practical examples, and took part in guided exercises led by our expert speakers Adan Mohamed and Hussein Ismail, whose experience and passion made complex ideas clear, relevant, and inspiring.
The event brought people together to learn, connect, and immediately apply their new skills through a live challenge. It was approachable for beginners yet deeply valuable for those already working with AI a truly engaging experience and a meaningful way to gather as a community right before Ramadan.
Faith Inspired Leadership
Faith-Inspired Leadership brought together powerful voices to explore how faith, service, and responsibility shape meaningful leadership in today’s world. Through insightful keynotes and a dynamic panel discussion, our distinguished speakers, Hunderra Assefa, Dr. Muhammad Zeeshan, Shabana Ahmadzai, and Dr. Ilkhom Khalimzoda. shared real-life experiences, lessons in purpose-driven leadership, and reflections rooted in values, integrity, and community impact.
The event offered a rich blend of inspiration, learning, and connection, creating space for honest dialogue, reflection, and growth. Participants engaged with thought-provoking ideas, enjoyed meaningful networking, and experienced uplifting community spirit, making this one of our most impactful gatherings to date.
Iftar & Zakat discussion
Local Zakat Edition shed light on a powerful yet often overlooked practice: giving Zakat locally to strengthen Muslim communities in Finland. Through insightful talks from Sheikh Mujeeb and Antti, the event sparked meaningful reflection and opened an important conversation that we hope will continue across the country. A warm atmosphere, enriched by delicious food from Tasteat, created the perfect setting for learning and connection.
The energy in the room was exceptional, vibrant networking, genuine conversations, and one of our highest participation rates to date. With strong engagement, cozy vibes, and shared commitment to meaningful impact, this event marked a significant step toward reviving local Zakat, fostering stronger community ties, and nurturing leadership grounded in faith and responsibility.
Personal Branding
Personal Brand is a high-impact gathering designed to equip Muslim professionals in Finland with the insight, confidence, and strategic mindset needed to own their narrative and elevate their visibility. By strengthening personal branding, participants can build credibility, amplify their voices, and contribute to a stronger, more empowered Muslim professional community.
With thought-leading speakers Amin Hassan and Aicha Manai, the event delivers practical guidance, actionable strategies, and inspiring reflections on influence, leadership, and professional presence. Attendees will walk away with renewed confidence, enhanced clarity, and the capability to position themselves more powerfully within Finnish society and beyond.
Muslim Professionals Network
The very first Muslim Professionals Network event in 2023 marked the beginning of a powerful journey to empower Muslim professionals in Finland. Built around the theme "Islamic Values as a Source of Inspiration and Purpose in Professional Life," the gathering brought together inspiring keynote speakers, a dynamic panel, and engaging workshops that enabled participants to exchange insights, learn from one another, and reflect on how faith-driven values can elevate professional performance and leadership impact.
Beyond the structured program, the atmosphere was deeply engaging and community-driven, with meaningful networking, shared inspiration, and a memorable lakeside barbecue that strengthened bonds across the community. This landmark event didn’t just launch an initiative, it catalyzed a movement to amplify Muslim voices, foster collaboration, and drive long-term growth powered by purpose and values.
Picnic For Palestine
Faith Inspired Leadership brought our community together for a purposeful and uplifting picnic focused on learning, reflection, and collective responsibility. Against the beautiful backdrop of Töölönlahti, participants engaged in insightful conversations about the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement, guided by impactful reflections from our guest speaker, Mohammad Khlouf. The discussions highlighted the ethical and spiritual importance of intentional action, justice, and faith-driven leadership.
Beyond inspiration, the event translated awareness into meaningful impact. With warm weather, great company, and strong engagement, attendees connected, learned, and contributed generously, successfully raising €825 to support Gaza. The food, Crafts4Gaza initiative, and authentic sense of solidarity created a memorable experience that reinforced how collective commitment and values-based leadership can truly make a difference.
